New Retiree Board Seat up for Election
At the 2007 Convention that was held in Mobile, ASEA members voted to add a Retiree Representative to the ASEA Board of Directors. This seat is up for election with a term to begin February 2009.
In accordance with the ASEA By-laws, Article 2, Section 2, nominations shall be made on nominating petitions available in the ASEA Office during office hours between September 1 and September 15 inclusive and shall be furnished to any retired member upon written request. Petitions shall have the signatures of at least ten (10) retired members in good standing as of the date of filing. Each nominating petition shall contain the following information: name and address of the candidate, department or agency from which retired, the date of retirement, date signed, and the candidates signature over a statement accepting the nomination. The information contained on the original printed petition shall not be altered. Nominating petitions shall be received in the ASEA Office by the close of business on October 1.
